Hello! We have exciting news! We are having our first Dinner and Concert Benefit. Come join us and bring your friends too for a fun filled night at Rowdy Creek Ranch. Your night includes live music with Dan Smalley, up and coming singer/songwriter from Nashville.  Also included is a fish fry dinner with tea and two drink tickets.  

This awesome event will take place on November 13, 2021 from 6-10pm at Rowdy Creek Ranch. Located at 4048 State Highway 300 Gilmer, Tx 75645

3rd Annual Stuff the Stocking Drive

December is fast approaching and we are ready for another Stocking Drive. Last year we were able to deliver over 200 stuffed stockings to our area counties and the Lord willing we would like to do it again. 

We will kick off this drive starting October 1st and will accept stockings through November 19th. This cut off will give us time to deliver these stockings before December 1st. Our hope is that every child removed in the month of December receives a stocking.  If you are looking for a way to give, this is a great opportunity for a family, a small group, a community group, or even an individual to get involved this holiday season.

We are excited to see what God has ahead for Love Them More and we pray you will continue to be apart. Through all of the chaos we have seen the Lord's faithfulness. He has prepared our ministry for such a time as this and we are so very thankful He has provided.

Changed Plans

Obviously, for everyone, the last several months have been some of the most uncertain. We pray you and your family are doing well and staying healthy.  We wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that Love Them More has in fact continued to serve the foster children in the East Texas area.  We have still been able to deliver bags and essentials to the surrounding counties in our area.  Yay God!!  Sadly, the needs these children have are not something that is ending or will end. 

Having bags available and overnight essentials is a way we can help meet needs for these children and bring hope to their sometimes hopeless situations.  We had many plans, as did many of you, for the last several months but those plans were changed.  As things are slowly becoming more available and reopening we would like to challenge you and encourage to pray over how you can help us to meet our goal of 150 sponsors per month, ways we can raise awareness, and have an abundance of bags and overnight essentials.

We Need Your Help

Just some thoughts as many of you are now meeting again with small groups, your kids have started to get back to school, and other activities are beginning; is there a way in which your group could help us meet our goals? Ideas may include...

~ asking your group to bring new pajamas for kids of all ages and gender. 

~ collecting new underwear, socks, or hairbrushes

~ monetary donations for us to purchase bags

~ a commitment to sponsor a child each month 

~ or maybe you have an idea we have not thought of.

Don't forget our T-Shirts are also available for purchase.  This is a sure way to spread the news of our ministry as someone may ask you what your shirt means.  It also helps us purchase more duffle bags.

Your Love Them More Ministry Team

What a busy month of new and exciting things that are happening with Love Them More. We launched our Sponsorship to Fill a Bag, Fill a Heart, Get a Shirt. This means we have monthly recurring donors that help us provide a duffle bag and overnight essentials, and the donor gets a free T-shirt. This is a huge blessing to know we can count on these donations each month to provide for children removed. Currently we have 11 children sponsored. We need 150 sponsored each month to keep up with the numbers of children that are removed in the 15 counties we serve. This is heartbreaking, I know, but also a reality in our communities. A real need. Please help us spread the word so we can continue to serve these children well and love them more.

T-shirts with our logo are now available for purchase as well and can be found on our website. You can order one for yourself or as gift or for your entire family. Someone is bound to ask what the words on your shirt mean. It's your opportunity to share this ministry with them. The more awareness brought is one step closer to more children being sponsored.

Another new and exciting thing that has happened is we were able to have Bible tracts printed with the plan of salvation. These will be placed in EVERY bag we deliver. We are super pumped to know not only will these children have physical needs met but we hope these tracts will also fill a spiritual need of knowing they are loved by the One that truly matters.

We are also gearing up for the GA's of First Baptist Church in Hallsville as we will be speaking to them this month about Love Them More Ministries. We'll share how God softened out heart to this ministry, what we do, and how people can help. We are thankful for churches and families that desire to get children involved in the awareness and in giving.

Saying thank you can not be said enough. The out pouring of people choosing to donate and help is such a blessing. God continues to provide and we are grateful.

Sorting Day was a must. From individuals, to church groups, a bank, from our Amazon wish list, and many others we had lots of donations to organize. Thank you, thank you! Our sorting includes placing over night essentials in to zip lock bags and labeling them with gender and size. This makes things easier for those CPS workers that have the difficult task of removing a child. They can quickly grab the appropriate labeled zip lock they need and a Love Them More duffle bag from their Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room is a supply room that is located at most of the DFPS offices. Some are nicely organized rooms by volunteers or office personnel while others are just a closet, cubicle, or corner of limited supplies. Each time we make deliveries they are so overwhelmed with joy that they don't have to use a trash bag upon the removal of a child. We delivered 200 duffle bags this month to the counties we serve plus two Legacy Closets that help foster families as they receive placements. It takes a village to make all of this possible.

Hundreds of books were donated by Lynsey Hensely and Mandee Chrane with Usborne books. Many people were involved with the gathering and purchasing of these books and we are so thankful for something new to be added to our bags. What a joy for these kids to be able to open their bag and not just find essentials but a cool book to call their own.

Occasionally we get messages asking for help for certain children coming into care or going out of care that did not receive a bag. This is also a huge blessing to be a part of. This month we had a request for a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old girl. These girls have been in the system but were hoping this month would be the month they would transition into an adoptive placement. A family they could call their own. Their CASA worker contacted us asking if we could help love them a little more. Well, of course we said yes. We filled a bag full so these girls knew they had been thought of, prayed for, and loved. We wanted them to know they are special. Can you imagine at these ages not belonging to a family and unsure if you would have a permanent belonging? This is just one story. Just two children. There are 150 stories of kids each month. That is just in the East Texas Area. We had a few requests like this one this month. We are working hard for every child removed in the East Texas area to receive a bag.

Your Love Them More Ministry Team

Love Them More is growing in support by leaps and bounds. We are so excited to see all that God has done and will continue to do through this ministry that you graciously have given to.

This year has been one for the records for Love Them More. We added a new directing member, Linna Sutton, that has done a phenomenal job at taking us to the next level. This year she has been able to assist us in obtaining our 501 c3, redesigning our website, organizing and organizing our files, and getting us back to dreaming of all God can do to meet the needs of foster children in transition.

Adding to the greatness that has occurred in 2019, we held our very first ever "Stuff the Stocking" drive which was a huge success. Our goal was to have 100 stockings filled for children that are removed in December. We exceeded that goal and so many were able to take part, churches, small groups, individuals, and businesses. It was such a blessing to see it all come together. Making the deliveries to the counties and seeing the workers smile with delight was a bonus.

As of December 2019 we are now serving 15 counties in the East Texas area. That's a total of about 150 kids a month we hope to supply bags and overnight essential to.

This month we will be launching our sponsor a child, "Fill a Bag, Fill a Heart" Campaign. Our goal is to meet the needs of 150 children that are removed EACH MONTH in the counties we serve. We want them to not only have a bag to carry their belongings but to also have some brand new essentials they will need in the first 24 hours of transition. This means monthly giving and we need people like you that see our vision and want to give back to these precious children. We would love for you to partner with us monthly to sponsor a child. The cost is $25 to sponsor one child a month. That supplies a bag, toothbrush, hairbrush, socks, underwear, pajamas and more. Look for our Sponsorship page on our website for more details.

From one ministry to another the giving has extended. Kristi and Kim both served on the Feminar planning committee for many years. This year Feminar retired and donated over $10,000 to Love Them More. We are so thankful to have been apart of such an incredible ministry and honored that they chose to invest in the lives of foster children through our ministry.

The gratitude we have for the multitudes of individuals, businesses, churches, and others that have given in support of LTM is immeasurable. We would not be able to serve if we did not have people like you that choose to make a difference. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. You may not get to see the benefits of your giving but we can assure you that you are making a difference. So very many seeds of His love have been planted and watered because of your generosity.
